During a press conference in the Sejm organised by the Confederation of the Polish Crown, the leader of the group, Grzegorz Braun expressed his position on the armed conflict in Ukraine and the actions of the Polish government in this matter.
“This is not our war. This is not a war fought in the Polish interest. This is not a war whose escalation is consistent with the Polish state's ration," said Braun, referring his words to both society and Polish soldiers. The leader of the Confederation of the Polish Crown stressed that Poland's engagement in the conflict could have negative consequences for the country. According to Braun, the actions of the authorities, specified as the support of Ukraine financially and politically, pose a threat to the safety and sovereignty of Poland.
During the conference, Braun spared no criticism of president Andrzej Duda, calling him “a lokaja” of abroad powers. "Andrzej Duda ends his office with full self-deamascation, in deep infamy, as an Anglo-Saxon, Jewish, bander butler who is willing to throw destiny on the stake of Polish life, just to play God knows what," he said. After the conference, in statements to 1 of the journalists, assessing the position of Andrzej Duda against the U.S.'s approval of rocket attacks into Russia, he said: "The rockets fly, and this traitor and fool patented rejoices".
Braun besides accused Duda and another leading politicians, including Donald Tusk and Radosław Sikorski, of taking action to bring danger to Poland. Braun pointed out that the conflict in Ukraine is part of a larger geopolitical gameplay, in which Poland is only a pawn. "We argue the disposal of the Polish Army in the large game of powers. We argue the treatment of Poles as a pawn planted to be broken, as frills, cards to be dropped in a large game," he said.
The politician stressed that his group powerfully opposes the engagement of Polish financial and military resources in conflict, as well as the debt of the state to support Ukraine. In summing up his speech, Braun pointed out that among Polish patriots and on the right there is no consent for Poland's further engagement in the conflict. In his opinion, diplomatic action should be the only solution to global conflicts. "We do not agree to translate financial, social, military, cultural costs into the Polish nation. (...) This is not our war,” he stressed.
