Unwavering defender of Catholic faith, priest Bishop Athanasius Schneider will visit Poland soon. He will participate – together with the publicists: Grzegorz Górny, Krystian Kratiuk and Paweł Chmielewski – in a debate summarizing today's image of the Church in an unprecedented crisis.

The event will take place on Monday 14 October at 6 p.m. in the Column Hall Prymasowski Palace at 13/15 Senatorska Street in Warsaw.

In connection with the upcoming Jubilee of the 2 1000 Years of Redemption, Archbishop Tadeusz Wojda SAC, the Gdańsk metropolitan, announced the beginning of the nine-year-old large Novena. Its goal is simply a spiritual-moral revival and appropriate preparation of the full Church in Poland for this large anniversary, which took place in 2033.
The most crucial moments in the years 2024 – 2033 will be the yearly celebrations of the Passover Triduum, the Ascension of the Lord, the Pentecost and the celebration of Christ the King of the Universe.
“I encourage the pastors to emphasize the importance of the work of Redemption and to encourage God’s people to thank for it as part of the liturgy of these celebrations. In turn, faithful, especially those focused in spiritual communities and movements, I ask to be generously active in all the initiatives involved," wrote the president of the Polish Episcopal Conference.
