In 2 weeks, on 23 February at 1 p.m., parents and teachers will meet in the Wrocław marketplace Square to jointly show the right to rise children according to their own beliefs and values, which is guaranteed by the Constitution. The origin of the event is the totalitarian drive of the utmost left-wing education minister Barbara Nowacka.
Soon a large protest in Wrocław. The main organizers of the manifestation, led by the slogan “YAK for education, NOT for depravity”, are the Association of Parents Protecting Children and the Center of Life and household and Coalition for the Salvation of the Polish School. The event is simply a continuation of nationwide protests inaugurated in Warsaw on December 1, 2024.
"We protest the introduction of "health education" in schools – a fresh object hiding depraved and ideological content under the name "sexual education". Although Minister of Education Barbara Nowacka has declared in fresh weeks that this item will enter as optional, we have no uncertainty that it is just a cynical pre-election game, and the appearance of this item, even in an optional version, is detrimental to the school community.
We protest the removal from the curriculum Raising for life in a household that has implemented sexual education in an orderly way, placing it in the context of values specified as responsibility, self-discipline and control of urges, building relationships, love, marriage, and family, which has been a proven support for parents and children for 26 years.
We protest against harmful changes in the strategy of the Polish school, specified as inclusive education, which under a misleadingly affirmative name hides the effect, which will be, among others, the demolition of the organisation of classes at school and the simplification of the level of teaching.
We protest the removal from the curriculum of valuable works of national literature and the past of Polish heroes, against narrowing and simplifying the content of teaching and against the introduction of the subject of "citizen education" in its current form, and thus against the changes to prepare the Polish school for fast accession to the European Area of Education, where everything national is to be repudiated to educate a cosmopolitan European citizen, with a mediocre level of cognition and modest cognitive competence.
We request a resignation from Minister Barbara Nowacka, whose actions undermine the Polish school, and the last message about “Polish Nazis building labour camps in the area occupied by Germany” during the global conference “We are a memory.
The teaching of past is the discipline of conversation” organised on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the German Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp, deserves condemnation and requires a decisive consequence from the Prime Minister, who represents it. Her message fits into the policy of limiting and erasing from the basis of programming teaching about the past of the Polish nation during the Nazi business and is unacceptable to millions of Poles" –The organizers of the event write.
During the demonstration there will be guests who deserve to defend conservative values, Polish school, parents' rights and common sense, including Magdalena Trojanowska and Magdalena Czarnik from the Association of Parents Protecting Children, Halszek Bieleck from the Center of Life and Family, Sławomir Skiba from the Association of Christian Culture named after Fr Piotr Skarga, R.P. Marek Puzio from the Foundation for Legal Culture Ordo Iuris, Grażyna Lubszczyk from the Association “Teachers for Freedom”. abroad guests are besides invited to speak.
