In Poland, erstwhile again, the Western-known politician of open doors to immigrants is repenting. This time it turned out that a 27-year-old citizen of Belarus, Vitali S., pretending to be a “political refugee”, allegedly persecuted by the Lukashenko regime, has been detained on suspicion of acting for abroad intelligence and preparing sabotage activities.
Belarusian planned a terrorist attack in Poland. Officers of the ABW Delegation in Lublin obtained evidence indicating suspicion that a 27-year-old citizen of Belarus Vitalij S. in July this year collected data about a warehouse facility located in Lublin Voivodeship. He filmed and photographed it, and the obtained material was handed over to representatives of abroad intelligence. Therefore, on 13 August, ABW officers made his arrest in Warsaw.
On the basis of the evidence provided (including the classified) prosecutor from the Lublin PZ PK district, he presented to Vitalij S. the charge of acting in favour of abroad intelligence and making preparations for diversion and sabotage actions involving the arson of a warehouse facility in Lublin Voivodeship (Article 130 §8 k.k.). Interviewed as a fishy Vitalij S. confessed to the charge and made extended explanations.
Following the examination of the application of the prosecutor, the Lublin-West territory Court in Lublin with a resolution of 14 August this year was applied to the detained preventive measure, in the form of a temporary arrest for a period of 3 months.
Preparation for sabotage or diversion activities for abroad intelligence is at hazard of imprisonment of up to 8 years. The investigation in this case is conducted by the Delegation of the ABW in Lublin under the supervision of the Lublin Department of abroad Affairs of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Public Prosecutor's Office in Lublin.
OUR COMMENTS: In the case of Belarusians, the situation is akin as with Ukrainians. The naive regulation of COPIS allows all of us who just want to settle in here without checking whether they are real refugees or pretending to be abroad intelligence agents.
