Donald Trump called Tucker Carlson "crazy" due to what he said during an interview with erstwhile US president advisor Steve Bannon. What made the White home owner so angry in this conversation, in which they talked about the danger that America is in if it engages in a war between Israel and Iran?
Carlson: In November Trump was elected president. It was an incredible and unprecedented unification of various parts of the American society that no 1 had always imagined before. Trump has shown that the conventional model of "left versus right" or "Democrats vs Republicans" is in fact just a fiction and a control tool. I think so, at least that's my interpretation. That's why he's creating a full fresh coalition. The fresh York Times barely mentions it due to the fact that it poses a serious threat. But that coalition you described so well is indeed a key aspect of American politics. And it seems to me that his importance has grown due to the Iran War. That's just my point. delight correct me if I'm wrong.
Bannon: We request this information: what the CIA is doing, what happened in Ukraine, what actions the State Department, the Department of National Intelligence, the Department of Justice, the FBI, the United States defence Intelligence Agency and the Pentagon are taking. Now we have only a superficial thought of their activities. The FBI has 2 people, Cash and Bongino. We have a tiny group of Justice Department employees who are active in a large operation involving 30,000, 15,000 or 20,000 people. We have 3 or 4 people in the National Intelligence Department in 17 agencies. At the Pentagon, we have Pete and a fewer another employees. Whenever individual proposes ending endless wars, they are immediately thrown out. Since we started working there, we've lost 10 people. Whenever Elbridge Colby takes any action, he is at the center of media attention, which represent him as the advocate of peace.
So what I'm saying is we're getting to work now. In all these crises, we have a camera that reports to Wall Street and abroad investors, as well as Silicon Valley. This camera works with the Communist organization of China. It's time to act. If we don't aid this country, we won't be able to aid anyone. It is time to test yourself in the best possible way. If we can't cooperate, we won't win in this country or Trump and his team. If we neglect to solve this problem now, it will never be solved. Therefore, in my opinion, the situation has become so difficult. Everything we do – stopping endless wars, rebuilding trade relations with China to reconstruct jobs, closing borders and sending tens of millions of people home – will origin riots akin to civilian war in large cities. I always said deportation was the most crucial thing to reconstruct sovereignty. This is simply a war we must fight, a conflict against a deep state we must survive. I think we have waited besides frequently to solve the problem. If we don't solve this now, together with Trump, we won't solve it in the future. Let's go back to the Iraq War. You were there, you saw everything. Remember the war in Iraq.
Carlson: Yes, I supported the Iraq war.
Bannon: Thanks to the information you gave, you knew what they were doing. If we look back at Iraq, we will see that specified measures have failed. They cannot win because, as Lincoln said, they request public support. And we're not doing adequate to tell the Americans about the real state of things. In fact, we are giving them completely the other information. That's what this is all about.
Trump's increasing popularity is due to 2 factors. This is due to the disastrous war in Iraq and the 2008 financial collapse. It was Buchanan before. There was even Reagan with his national populism. These sprouts have appeared. It was apparent that people were trying to accomplish the goal, but they can't. The reason for these 2 catastrophic events, right? Lost war, right? We've been tricked into everything. The reason we went to war was due to the fact that at first the Americans supported it, given the information they were given.
Then people realized that it was not just the first assumptions that were lies. All the messages that followed were a lie. All the messages were a lie. We didn't truly win. We had to send General Kelly to Anbar state to defeat the most militant tribe. It took forever, and what did we get? 8,000 killed, 50,000 wounded, $9 trillion [expenditure] – $7 trillion in Iraq and $2 trillion in Afghanistan. All this time, we've just been cheated. This is what's going on. We're being treated unfairly. I'm saying this on the basis of incoming information.
Israel's position on this substance has changed 3 or 4 times. At first, it was about the atomic bomb, about its production. Last weekend something had to happen, you had to act immediately. You should have acted Thursday night. This must have happened. Then we find out that it will happen no sooner than next year. And then there's a blow to leadership. They're trying to change the regime. It just happened this weekend, and they said, “Oh, if they are there, we are there. We gotta do this." They said: “This is simply a unilateral decision. We are acting on our own.” But they realized they needed American air force to defend themselves. And that's why Arleigh Burke destroyers were sent out urgently, and that's why American anti-aircraft defence is on the decision all the time.
Now they say: “By the way, we cannot destruct another uranium enrichment plant hidden in the mountains. We request U.S. assault helicopters. We request American tankers to refuel. We request bombs to destruct bunkers. And we request resources. The situation is constantly changing."
Tulsi Gabbard said in March that the Iranians had no plan to build an atomic bomb. They never had a plan. Brett Beyer asked Benjamin Netanyahu about this Sunday night. And Netanjahu replied, “We have fresh information, fresh intelligence.” Wait, we were told we provided you with any valuable information. Close control is needed. By the way, we request to think about Ukraine. We request to check whether American peculiar services were involved, due to the fact that without our satellites, without targeted information, without information about the conduct of the fire, there is no uncertainty that the Ukrainians, no substance how brave and courageous they might not be, would be able to execute specified a complex operation.
So now there's a fight. The fight must be directed against the alleged "deep state". We request to name these organizations by name, or actually take them apart. And then anyone in Washington who isn't truly on your side will be exposed. All those who call themselves conservatives and Republicans will be exposed. erstwhile they start defending themselves, you say, “Wait. Trump is the commander-in-chief. This is the essence of the constitutional republic.” I don't care if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders, or J.D. Vance, another right-wing politician, becomes president in the future. Now we have a strategy akin to the Praetorian Guard. He has his own national safety policy. He has his reason to be and does not care if he is simply a progressive liberal, like Barack Obama, or an economical populist nationalist like Donald Trump. This is the fight we gotta fight today.
Carlson: W Washington is now in a desperate race among the right to show who is more loyal to Trump. Each of them says: “No, no, no, no, I represent Trump! I'm on his side! I am a real MAGA!” These hallucinogenic scenes in which everyone hated Trump are yet over. Mark Levin (former colleague of Tucker Carlson, Conservative presenter Fox News) always hated Trump, but now he's his chief ensign. But all this looks even more perverse due to the fact that these people are connected to a deep state. Doesn't that undermine the President's agenda, including peace talks in Ukraine or the mediate East? We request lasting peace so that we can all become richer! So that we live safely and happily!” and now all his alleged “counsel” who secretly hatred him simply destruct everything he tries to do.
Bannon: That's absolutely true. Most of them openly advocated the continuation of the war in Ukraine. The people who are watching you, Tucker, request to realize 1 basic thing. We are very close to the active phase of planet War III. This is all very akin to how planet War II began. Let's go back to September 1939. The invasion of Poland, the beginning of the general European war. The invasion of Russia began in 1941. There was besides an attack on Britain, an immediate seizure of France. Look at what happened in North Africa, in Finland. Compare the number of victims. Finland has lost 300,000 people, which is not even half of what will happen if we now sum up the number of casualties in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip. And now it's happening in Persia. Wars have become more bloody, and we are now on the verge of planet War III. And it didn't start today, it's been going on for years. That's what Trump said. He encourages everyone to lay down their weapons. Let's sit at the table, find at least a shadow of fragile peace... Let us find ways of cooperation – business, trade, let countries rebuild, let people work. And possibly things will calm down in time. The fact is, however, that the order of the planet in itself exacerbates conflicts. And now it's summertime 2025. 100 days, 200 days, another 200 days... These are very dangerous times for America. due to the fact that if we don't fix anything, we'll be drawn into 1 of those conflicts as a fighter. And we will no longer be arms suppliers, but direct participants in war. What Ukraine has done in Russia and what Israel is doing to Muslims now – we will gotta catch arms and shoot ourselves. And how long will that take? The losses will then surpass what we lost during planet War II.
Carlson: There are things we effort not to talk loudly about erstwhile we talk about the events of planet War II. They weren't just shots fired at the front. In the United Kingdom and the United States there was an interior struggle, many opponents of the ruling regimes went to prison. Winston Churchill imprisoned his opposition, people were even imprisoned with their wives. And they spent the full war. Many died there. This is simply a historical fact. You can treat them the way you want, but they sent their opponents to prison. Same thing with Roosevelt, there was an full cleanup run if individual opposed the war.
Bannon: Incidentally, Lincoln did the same thing.
Carlson: Exactly! I love Lincoln!
Bannon: While the war for independency continued, the United States did not control specified a large territory. But even then, politicians behaved precisely the same way.
Carlson: Exactly! In all era, opponents of war were seen as allies of the enemy and were subject to repression. Aren't you afraid you'll have the same thing? You just told me on camera: “I don’t want this war. We are heading for planet War III."
Bannon: Let the Americans talk out, due to the fact that in fact 90% of the population are against endless wars. Even Israel’s supporters stick to this position. We thought in Gaza we had to deal with the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, but abruptly they started bombing Tehran, and Tel Aviv has been subjected to many ballistic missiles in the last 24 hours.
What does Trump say at the same time? "Let us all calm down and return to the negotiating table. I can solve this problem." He says, “We can crash and blow Iran up if we want to, but I would alternatively effort to negotiate.” As for effective negotiators outside the diplomatic corps, the first names that come to head are Steve Whitkoff and Donald Trump. Personally, I believe more in their ability to decide something than in the continuation of the war.
Believe me, we are preparing for offensive action – to the mediate East is the carrier strike group, tankers are coming. That changes the game. No substance how bad it is now, we are already active in the conflict. And I'm asking, if these are unilateral actions, why should we interfere? Where's the solution you mentioned? Did individual tell you, “Steve, do decisions just fall from the sky”?
