A series of coordinated attacks carried out by a Palestinian muslim group of Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip on the border areas in Israel began on Saturday 7 October 2023, on the Sabbath day and on the day of respective judaic holidays. The attacks, referred to as Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, started a war between Israel and Hamas. The announcement was besides issued by the President's Office.

President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda powerfully condemns the anti-Semitic slogans that appeared during yesterday's march in Warsaw.

We Poles, due to the memory of those who were murdered during the Holocaust – we can never agree to any manifestations of anti-Semitism in any form and any signs of it rise our deep outrage. In Poland there is no consent to express hatred towards anyone. This is completely contrary to the values on which the Republic is based.
