On Monday, August 25, 2025, passengers on American Airlines (AA) Flight AA 2249, a Boeing 737-800, witnessed a violent argument as they prepared to exit the aircraft at Miami (MIA).
Video footage showed a man and a woman standing in the aisle, where the woman made a comment that provoked the man. He responded by grabbing her by the neck and pushing her into a row of seats.
Fellow passengers immediately reacted, shouting for the man to stop, with one woman exclaiming, “Oh my god!” Another passenger intervened physically, attempting to separate the pair, while a crew member announced a “safety alert” over the PA system.
The situation escalated further as the man engaged in a physical altercation with another male passenger, with others trying to break up the fight.
Passengers expressed frustration, with one shouting, “Someone arrest him, somebody arrest this man.
