On Saturday, 12 September, the Government safety Center sent an alert to residents of Podkarpackie and Lublin Voivodeships in connection with the Russian air attack in the west of Ukraine. The military has increased the readiness of parts of air defense, and there is simply a chopper operating in the Polish space. Residents are to follow authoritative messages, but there is no information about the breach of the border.
The RCB Alert took 2 voivodships
Government safety Center sent a September 12 warning to persons residing in Podkarpackie and Lubelskie voivodships. The reason was a Russian air attack in Ukraine. The institution informed that the situation is monitored, Polish aviation operates in the Republic of Poland and residents should follow further messages. The message was besides sent in English.
The most crucial thing is to separate between 2 things. Alert means increased vigilance due to fights conducted close the Polish border. In itself, it is not a confirmation that the Russian unmanned or rocket flew over Poland. Neither the RCB nor the military provided information on specified an infringement in the published communications. Citizens should stay calm and trust on RCB information and Operations Command of Armed Forces Types.
Military chopper monitors the situation
The Operational Command of the Polish Air Defence strategy has increased the readiness of selected forces and means of the Polish Air Defence System. The reaction was launched due to the activity of Russian unmanned aircraft attacking targets in the western part of Ukraine. In the Polish space there is simply a military helicopter, whose task is to monitor the situation and support the protection of our sky. The another forces are to be ready for immediate response.
This is simply a preventive action, and that is the work of the State: the threat must be detected before it reaches the border. During an earlier Russian attack on Ukraine, Polish aviation besides covered the country's east. The repeatability of specified alarms shows that the safety of east voivodships is not to be treated as an ad hoc task for respective hours. The continuous efficiency of radar, command, aviation and ground air defence is needed.
The safety of Poles is at stake
The Russian war in Ukraine regularly produces effects felt on the Polish side of the border. The inhabitants of Podkarpacie and Lubelskie get warnings on phones, see military machines and gotta number on changes in the functioning of airspace.
