This year we celebrate the 81st anniversary of the establishment of the National Armed Forces, which were the second largest underground formation of the Polish Army. The NSZ soldiers were guided by clear values: patriotism, national awareness and the conflict for the welfare of the Homeland. It is our common work to reconstruct the memory of the Heroes of the Polish Underground State and to take care of the ideals they have guided.
On 20 September the celebrations of the 81st anniversary of the National Armed Forces will be held. It will be a unique chance to pay tribute together to those who, in the name of freedom, faced the enemies of the Homeland.
The intent of the ceremony, which will take place in Warsaw, will be to commemorate the National Armed Forces and the National Army and to advance the tradition of fighting for independency and sovereignty of the Polish Republic. This is not only an chance to celebrate our Heroes, but besides an chance to give our national values to the young generation. We want the national ideals of the veterans of the Polish Underground State to be passed on from generation to generation, and our Polish identity was treated with dignity by subsequent generations of young Poles.
Anniversary celebrations with members Union of NSZ Soldiers, veterans: NSZ, AK, WiN, anti-communist opposition activists, repressed persons and invited guests. Like last year's celebrations, we anticipate a large participation of young people from all over Poland, especially from uniform classes.
One of the main points of the ceremony will be the Defilada of soldiers of the Polish Underground State. respective twelve banner post offices and over 100 reconstructors from all over Poland will participate in the defilade, following the celebrations of last year. The reconstructions will be followed by subdivisions of uniform classes and participants of celebrations with a white-red flag 100 metres long. Therefore, we encourage you to participate in the Defilad.
This event will be full of symbolism and national pride. In March we want to show that we identify with the tradition of the Polish Underground State and show respect for the tradition of the Polish Army.
Last year in a parade on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the formation of the NSZ and the AK, from the Field Department of the Polish Army, through Krakowskie Przedmieście, to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Marshal Józef Piłsudski Square, over 29 banner posts, 120 reconstructors in 2 branches and over 200 uniformed students in 5 sub-sections.
Last year's Defilada was spectacular, but this year we want to make it even more spectacular. Together we will celebrate 81 years of National Armed Forces. Our veterans, the Heroes of the Polish Underground State, who celebrate their nearly 100th birthday, will march with us in the march. For young Poles it will be an chance to meet the last surviving Heroes of the fight for Poland's independency and show them respect.
