The Polish brigade besides crashed German military units and liquidated German-organized ambushes on American soldiers. In May 1945, Polish guerrillas, side by side with American soldiers, participated in fights against Germany in the Pilzna, Holysov and Vsekar areas.In the celebrations of the 72nd anniversary of the liberation of the concentration camp in Holiszów, the president of the IPN Jarosław Szarek took part. It was the first post-war ceremony attended by representatives of the state authorities and honorary assistance of the Polish Army.
The ceremony was attended by activists of the Association of National Armed Forces Soldiers from various parts of Poland (Szczecin, Lublin, Łomża,Warsaw, Ostrołęka ect.)
